This year BorderSessions is happy to announce the participation of two remarkable women, co-authors of the book “Women, Whistleblowing, WikiLeaks”: Sarah Harrison and Angela Richter.
About the Authors
Sarah Harrison is a British journalist who was WikiLeaks’ Investigations Editor for several years after joining for its groundbreaking 2010 publications. In 2013, Harrison helped Edward Snowden safely escape to Moscow, and in 2015 she was awarded the Willy Brandt Prize for political courage. In 2014 Harrison co founded Courage where she worked for several years before moving to its Advisory Board in 2018.
Angela Richter is an acclaimed Croatian-German theater director, activist and author. Her interest in WikiLeaks led to the 2012 theater piece “Assassinate Assange.” In 2015, Richter staged the large scale transmedia-project “Supernerds”, dealing with mass surveillance. The text was based on conversations with digital dissidents and whistleblowers, such as Edward Snowden, Daniel Ellsberg and Julian Assange.
