Whether you’re looking for fun and original Christmas presents, a pretty gala outfit or your winter wardrobe really needs an update, you can find it all in the shopping city of Eindhoven, the best place to shop in the south of the Netherlands.

The range of shops on offer in the centre of Eindhoven is huge: you won’t know where to start (or stop) with all that’s on offer. In addition to the vast range of shops on the long shopping streets and two covered shopping centres there is also a retail furniture centre just outside the city centre. As you can see, one day won't be nearly enough to explore Eindhoven…

Eindhoven winter city – enjoy the winter magic in Eindhoven city centreFrom 4 December to 3 January 2010 inclusive, Eindhoven is the winter city par excellence. The city centre is magically decorated with a wonderful ice-skating rink, market stalls, a Christmas tree display and a winter palace with an ice cube maze. And all this is at walking distance from Holiday Inn Eindhoven. There is also a vast range of winter activities to choose from. From 20 to 23 December inclusive, visit the Medieval Christmas market or on 24 December join the yearly torch procession. A show that the whole family will enjoy is the International Christmas Winter Circus from 25 December to 2 January
